19/10/2012 - Disaster struck this morning for nine-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb as he went of the road 4.56km into SS3, the opening stage of the day. A dramatic turn of events – the Citroen driver was forced to stop after damaging the front of his DS3 WRC due to an impact. The team will announce later in the day if Loeb will be able to rejoin the rally under Rally2 regulations. On the same stage, young Belgian driver Thierry Neuville (Citroen) rolled his DS3 WRC after missing a corner and lost 6 minutes to put the car back on the wheels. Loeb's team-mate Mikko Hirvonen won the stage and he takes the lead of the rally with 15.6 seconds over Solberg (Ford), 36.5 seconds over Ostberg and 44.6 seconds over Latvala.
